What is TOC Center?

TOC (The Outreach Connection) Center was Rachel and Shannon's greatest hope and vision when they literally sat their living room in front of a white board and mapped out the frame work for the entire organization in late 2018.  TOC Center was the "big goal" when they officially formed the charity in February of 2019.  Just over a year later, because of amazing support from the community and a team of amazing volunteers, they were able to acquire the space to bring it to life! The Outreach Connection is now an organization that offers the community a welcoming space that serves many purposes. By providing a wide array of supportive services to those in need, a variety of volunteer opportunities, and an upcoming strong line-up of community friendly classes and programs, the aim is to strengthen the connections to our neighbors from all walks of life through acts of kindness and compassion. 

This will serve as a central point for our volunteer opportunities for all age ranges. The volunteer center is where ALL are welcome.  Volunteers quickly find themselves connected to each other while functioning as an integral part of our efforts to help those in hardship.  Our team of volunteers is deeply engaged in our efforts and real friendships seem to form quickly.  We celebrate diversity and fostering vital relationships within our community.  Without the support and dedication of our volunteers, we could not possibly have such a positive impact in our community.

The Foundations Program is at the heart of what we do to help those in our community. This is where we provide those we support with much needed resources, tools, and basic necessities to work towards a more secure future.  From the distribution of supplies at no charge, to guidance from volunteer Resource Mentors, it is our goal to be a single destination with a host of benefits.  Whether working on resume building, interview skills, attending a professional development workshop, or accessing clothing, shoes, our bra bank, and more, we are here to make tomorrow better for those that walk through our doors. We also work to connect individuals who may need additional supplies and/or services from other organizations that can help them in ways that are not found in our programs. 

The Giving Pantry provides those in our community who are in the most fragile population with essential food, hygiene, cleaning, and pet supplies.  It is our goal to make access to nourishing food as easy as we can for those who need it most.
